The Mask of the Wizard trilogy was published in 1985-1989 by Tor Books and is currently out of print. It's the story of Kyellan, a cynical soldier who doesn't believe in wizards, Briana, a young priestess with an unknown destiny, and the war of wizards and nobility that they find themselves mixed up in.
